*Following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Dr. Bove donated her expertise and time to a firehouse that lost many men.  She worked with family members and others intimately touched by the events of 9/11 and also with members of the general community.  She ran debriefings with rescue workers, workshops with children, and workshops with school principals and teachers educating on the effects of Trauma.  She conceived and spearheaded the creation of the Garden of Healing, a place of tribute for those lost on 9/11, and of solace for anyone affected by 9/11 and its aftermath, as well as anyone suffering the effects of any cataclysmic event. The objective was to provide a place that would help reduce current devastating and far-reaching generational effects of trauma.

**Highest honor from the SIBG given to Dr. Bove for her conception and spearheading of the Garden of Healing, and for her extensive work in its creation. Exemplary in undertakings which followed in the Living Memorial Project of the USDA Forest Service, and comprised of  a Woodland Healing Garden and a Tribute Center, the Garden of Healing was conceived and created as a tribute to those who perished on 9/11, as a comfort for survivors and for the general community, as well as for anyone touched by the effects of any trauma.
